It Must Be Love: Eames Plywood Children’s Chair-
Designed in 1945, the Eames plywood children’s chair was manufactured by Evans products, on site at the Eames office in Venice, California. The chair consists of 2 parts of bent birch ply, the seat/legs and the backrest attached together to form the chair. The Heart cut-out in the back rest was not only decorative but could also be used to pick the chair up. There was only ever 1 run of 5000 chairs produced so original examples are extremely rare. However, Vitra now produce the chair as well as a table in natural maple finish or stained red.
